Assistant Producer Leicestershire £21k DOE Ref: GD240
Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd are looking for an experienced Assistant Producer to support the Senior Producer(s) in both Pre-Production and Production tasks. This will range from planning and preparation for a wide range of filming projects to on-location management of clients, crews and supporting personnel.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Pre-Production:
- To support our Senior Producer and Head of Production in preparing for and executing a wide range of filming projects in the Commercial and Academic Sectors throughout the UK and overseas.
- To help to prepare film schedules, risk assessments, call sheets and other element of administration including accommodation booking and travel planning.
- Sourcing talent, locations and crew as required for productions.
- To work alongside our Sales team to smoothly transition customers from sale to production, including regular client liaison and attending handover meetings.
Production:
- It is vital that the applicants understand that this is not a ‘9 to 5’ position and that their time and commitment will be expected without question.
- To be an organiser and facilitator during film shoots, including working directly with the client, assisting Camera and Lighting Operators where required.
- Ensuring film shoots run efficiently and on-time.
- Depending on the size of any given project, this role may also be asked to ‘lead’ the film shoot and act as the primary point of contact throughout.
- Working closely with directors in order to achieve great results.
Competencies Required:
- Previous experience of Producing films/videos
- A good command of Apple Macintosh computers and administrative software.
- Some knowledge (or willingness to understand) off-camera interviewing would be extremely beneficial.
- Good command of language.
- An ability to communicate directly with clients before, during and after projects.
- A willingness and ability to be part of a team.
- Strong organisational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong administrative and time management skills.
- Full, clean driving license.
