Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic Web Developer, with at least 12 months relevant work experience, to join a highly reputable group of companies who are passionate about their design, web and digital solutions.
Based in a fast paced Marketing Department you will be a confident and creative professional with a strong and varied background in website development. Digital design experience, alongside web / application development to support existing internal web based systems, including numerous company websites and webshops, as well as playing a key role in developing further services and making all sites responsive to advancements in technology.
Working on a broad range of projects, you must be flexible, quick to adapt and comfortable with working on a multitude of tasks and assignments supporting a number of businesses in the group of companies.
Applicants need to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, develop creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the brief in question, be able to work to tight deadlines, have good attention to detail and be able to manage more than one web based brief at the same time.
With a good understanding of key marketing principles, this is a great role for an individual with strong IT and web development skills as you will be responsible for coding, innovative designs, layout of the websites, content updates and the company webshops and supporting backend content.
Good communication skills are required to understand and define business requirements with various user groups, translating these into working solutions.
There will also be the opportunity to become involved in other marketing projects and campaigns for the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create website layout / user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practice
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding and scaling our sites
- Take responsibility of content and running of company webshops
- Work closely with Graphic Designer to match visual design and branding of the Group
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
