Graphic Designer - Marketing Kettering Up to £25k DOE Ref: GD289 

Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer for a successful manufacturing company, to conceptualise the imagery required to relay the chosen message to the company’s target audience (animation, film, graphics and photography). 

Key Priority Areas for the Graphic Designer 

Visual creation and adaptation

• Responsible for ensuring collateral created is compliant with corporate brand guidelines, unless specified in briefing

• Creation of creative campaign concepts, story boards for animation and films, visual concepts for imagery, the style and texture of our collateral

• Creation of an image bank that matches the digital aspirations of the company

• Creation of product and image bank to enable delivery of the new website, product portals and product information management system

• Use of photographic equipment/studio to deliver own product imagery

• Rendering of product imagery created by product management team in SolidWorks to photographic quality for use digitally and in print

• Creation of animation to support understanding of marketing messaging

• Support in capture and creation of internal filming, including editing

• Editing of internally captured film and animation, through sign off process to publication

• Adaptation and repurposing of existing collateral from existing campaigns

• Generating concept mock-ups of proposed designs and imagery to aid in concept choice and direction of campaigns

• Support in sign off process for campaigns to ensure content is compliant with corporate brand guidance

• With Business Strategy Manager (BSM) create and maintain an active agency roster to support delivery of marketing plan including social media calendar. 

Marketing Elements of the Graphic Designer role

• Central role in creative direction of marketing, visualising and providing creative pitches for campaign visuals. Be this through direction of others or your own work

• Key role in business’s creative hub, working with colleagues in marketing and across the business to deliver brand leading content & collateral

• Weekly update on design and campaign progress, deadlines due and support required to deliver marketing plan

• Provide weekly progress updates into marketing and campaign owners, along with monthly reporting into marketing meeting and report.

• Creative input into annual marketing plan, supporting in generation of annual budget and creation of marketing calendar.

• Support creation of company newsletter adapting layout to meet evolving needs, creation of graphics and imagery to aid in delivery of departmental message.

• Proactive approach with colleagues and customers to ensure every story is captured.

• Responsible for the organisation, ordering and maintenance of all literature, and promotional stock.

• Annual audit of all collateral, presenting recommendations for items that should be removed or replaced.

• Support in creation and submission of annual budget as part of marketing planning process.

• With BSM build relationships with colleagues in group marketing, understand brand roadmap and opportunities to adapt current collateral for our purposes. Maintain knowledge of changes to IT platforms especially content management.

• In association with BSM, provide support for key customers and aid in identification of marketing collateral/support required to allow customer promotion of products and services.

• Actively promote role of marketing in delivery of business strategy, sharing planned and completed activity so we never miss a story or opportunity to promote the brand

• Maintain knowledge of various software platforms required to ensure latest tools and techniques are available to aid in maintaining brand position.

• Have fun, be creative and enthused, whilst ensuring marketing duties are carried out professionally and in line with our corporate guidelines.

The successful candidate

• A digitally savvy and creative marketeer who is passionate in the belief that marketing should be the force behind business growth. A few years experienced across the design mix, the candidate must:

• be a skilled user of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, photoshop

• be able to transition designs from SolidWorks into photo quality rendered images

• be able to animate and to edit film through chosen tools or Adobe Creative Cloud

• want to work in creative fast paced environment

• want to jump in and make a difference

• have a catalogue of evidence to support capability

• willing to adapt and learn
