Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for a PHP Back End Developer with eCommerce experience for an agency with an enviable portfolio of clients and a whole host of industry awards.
You will be an experienced PHP Back End Developer with eCommerce experience joining the IT team. You will be responsible for the server-side web application logic as well as for the integration of the front-end part. You will have outstanding programming skills and a great passion for developing beautiful and innovative applications.
PHP Back End Developer Responsibilities
Be involved and participate in the overall application life cycle
Main focus on coding and debugging
Collaborate with Front-end developers
Define and communicate technical and design requirements
Provide training, help and support to other team members
Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future
Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean code
Learn about new technologies
Stay up to date with current best practices
Conduct UI tests and optimise performance
Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators
Follow new and emerging technologies
PHP Back End Developer Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required
At least 2 years’ experience working with PHP
In-depth understanding of web development
Experience with JSON, XML, REST & SOAP APIs
Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player, highly-motivated, with a creative mindset
Good organisational, administrative, planning and time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
Experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby and Python
Educated to degree level
Experience with nginx and apache 2
Familiarity with CMS frameworks
Experience with package managers such as NPM and Composer
Understanding of Jira
