Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for an all-round Senior Designer to join a successful team of strategists, creatives, web developers and marketeers.
Working primarily – but not exclusively – with B2B clients, design and creativity resonate throughout everything they do, always relating strongly to the strategic objectives. From marketing strategy right through to delivery, you will be integral to the core of their work.
Senior Designer description
We are looking for an aspirational Senior Designer – someone who will take up the responsibility of supporting their clients with their design requirements and upholding their brands. You should be strategically minded and proactive in bringing new ideas to the table.
You will be confident and collaborative and happy with a relatively flat management structure. You’ll have a passion for user experience and this will drive your approach to design.
Senior Designer experience:
Senior Designer with 5+ years within a multi-discipline environment – agency or client.
Designing for all media – offline, online and multimedia.
Creating full brand identities and design guidelines.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite of apps.
Be able to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving and human-centred design through a portfolio comprising both branding and digital design.
Foremost experience with mobile and responsive web design, and specific knowledge of WordPress.
Collaborating closely with web developers and content creators throughout the design process and build.
Wireframing with Invision, producing concept sketches, user flows, storyboards and prototypes.
Experienced user of up-to-date software for web design/UI/UX, such as Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma.
Adopts a UX-first approach and familiar with usability testing, such as Hotjar.
Knowledge of simple HTML and CSS.
Interfacing with clients and leading discussions on recommended design strategy.
Senior Designer skills – strong in:
Design for all forms of creative output – brand, web design, brochure-ware, communications and social media collateral, photoshoots, animated videos, and more.
Typography skills/knowledge (print and web).
Appreciating the design/UX aspects of search engine rankings.
Connecting, collaborating and communicating with team members, clients and the Midlands creative community.
Analysing, problem solving and critical thinking to simplify the complex.
Inspiring a culture of creativity and digital innovation.
Logical and commercial mindset.
Energetic, positive and keen to learn more.
Delivery and working under pressure, when required.
Ability to pitch, explain or train simple and complex ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
